M C B D

Hey everybody, Miss Chopsticks' birthday is coming soon and today we did some 5-year portraits in our basement which is lovingly known as "The Pit of Despair." Here is one of them now! She didn't have any classes today so after the photos, I took her to a place called Amazing Jakes and we ate and played until it was time to go and pick up her boys from school. On the way to the school, we stopped by the library and picked up some new reading materials. Our library here has DVD's that you can borrow, as many libraries do, but here, I was able to get the A-team - season three - !YES!
Dustin and Joy's wedding storybook is almost complete and it is awesome. There are some fantastic portrait pages mixed in with some very hilarious pages - it is just a great album!
Our house in Texas finally closed today, so - Tha Gooz - we don't have a home in Texas anymore (but our hearts remind us how much we love you and can't wait for you to come and visit!)
The Babe is becoming a Project Manager for a company called Scanner One You can check it online if you wish. Today she went with her colleagues and they had to meet with a few representatives from a hospital in Denver. She wrote up some kind of business report to be able to give them a certain batch of info, but I'm not sure what it is.
I've contacted a church just down the street that is looking for a worship leader. We are supposed to meet on Sunday and have a talk about what they are looking for. So far, I'm pretty excited about it. When I feel sure that it is not a group of crazies that meet to drink elephant tears and brush each others hair with green beans, I might give you their website info.

Mile High

Hola!
(from Colorado)
It has been a while since I've had a chance to post anything - even right now, I'm doing something else. We have moved to the Denver Colorado area in a great big house a couple of blocks away from the kid's school. Here in Colorado, the cut off date for starting school is October 1st instead of Texas' September 1st. This means that Miss Chopsticks has already started Kindergarten here instead of having to wait another year if we stayed in Texas.
This past weekend, I flew into Texas to photograph a wedding. It was very interesting - as shown by the picture on the left. The bride was a little upset about the way the groom was acting and took matters into her own hands, or should I say foot - I just happened to be on hand to record such an emotional moment. They still ended up getting married. Thanks Dust-in-Joy, for having me out. I had an amazing time with you guys and we were able to get a great body of outstanding images because we did have so much fun. You will be loving them for years! (I know that this photo has problems, but I was in a hurry and I didn't take my time to make it flawless - but it is still hilarious!)
We have a new phone number here, but you can still call us on our cell numbers from Texas. I guess that's all for now - I've got stuff to do!

Surprise, Surprise

I don't know if you've ever reckoned how quickly a moving day approaches. We haven't really thought about it either, but the time to move has come. We have lived in our home here since 1998 - almost ten years. If you haven't made it by to see the house, it may be too late. When we moved in, it was alright. We were glad to have a place to call home. We have renovated and now it is a fantastic place to be, it's just too bad that we are going to be leaving it. Our family has outgrown our 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1150 ft2 home. When we started here, it was just me and the Babe. Now we have The Punisher (age 9 on August 20), The Iceman (age 7), and Miss Chopsticks (age 5 on September 4).
Well, we are entering the last few days of Texas life so I thought I'd post one more time from Texas before I turn in my cable modem. This is a photo that I made of a little sign that I thought looked cool. I made it last week in a certain city - I bet you can't guess which city. But, as of this weekend, we are on our way to Aurora CO, just outside of Denver. We will enjoy an extended stay near Huntsville TX in order to catch the Tuesday night 'Stros game, before we head out for Amarillo on Wednesday and then our new home on Thursday.
I'll be picking up the moving truck tomorrow and if any of you want to help load it, feel free to come on over and help. I won't turn you away, and of course you'll get paid - I'll be paying 100% in friendship.
Hasta Luego
